Since its launch in 2016, KAFUNE has offered numerous coffee blends that cover a very wide spectrum of taste and aroma preferences, along with professional coffee services for companies and for operators in the hospitality industry (HoReCa).

The Origin of the KAFUNE Brand

KAFUNE is inspired by the rhythm of life lived with appetite, indulgence, and energy—where each day is a caress: sometimes gentle, sometimes rough. Every KAFUNE taste offers an effervescence of aromas that energizes and sets you free.

KAFUNE is like a declaration of independence, calling for the abandonment of constraints and inspiring the search for one’s own rhythm. It is captivating and tonic—always interesting.

It reaches perfection when it settles into the cup, as the culmination of the senses, science, and tradition of Italian experts, who carefully selected KAFUNE beans, created the right blends, and roasted them in a sophisticated way.

The name KAFUNE is inspired by Brazilian Portuguese, from the word “cafunè”—an affectionate term describing the gesture of gently stroking someone’s hair in a relaxing and tender way. This gesture symbolizes warmth, intimacy, and care, conveyed through every cup of KAFUNE coffee.

KAFUNE Coffee: Varieties and Characteristics

KAFUNE’s portfolio includes over 10 varieties, each with its own qualities and personality. These are available in various formats—beans and capsules in multiple standards for espresso machines.

1. KAFUNE Aromao: A premium Arabica and Robusta whole-bean blend for espresso. Medium roasted, Aromao offers a strong vanilla and bergamot aroma, low acidity, and a pleasant lemongrass aftertaste.

2. KAFUNE Intenso: An Arabica and Robusta whole-bean espresso blend. When prepared correctly, it delivers an authentic Italian espresso with well-defined body, balanced by mild acidity and medium intensity. The aftertaste recalls fine dark chocolate.

3. KAFUNE Arabica: A premium 100% Arabica whole-bean blend for espresso preparation. It offers a sweet, complex, balanced taste, with intense aromas and subtle coffee cherry notes. It has a pleasant ripe apricot aftertaste.

4. KAFUNE Serenità: A premium Arabica and Robusta whole-bean blend. Full yet graceful taste and a sumptuous aroma, with notes of dark chocolate and freshly toasted bread—like a vivid memory of moments of passion.

5. KAFUNE Equilibrio: A rounded blend, perfectly balanced between Arabica and Robusta. This elegant blend features a delicate taste, low acidity with floral hints, and a rich aroma enhanced by a foamy golden crema. KAFUNE EQUILIBRIO is crafted in the spirit of espresso coffees popular in Northern Italy.

6. KAFUNE Filtro: A Robusta and Arabica whole-bean blend, the only KAFUNE variety specially designed for filter brewing. It delivers a strong coffee with intense flavor and a slightly spicy aftertaste, with notes of bitter chocolate, thanks to its medium roast.

7. KAFUNE Forte: An explosive blend of energy and intensity, designed to “quickly recharge the batteries” of the person drinking it. The dominant component is Robusta, giving it a firm, powerful body. It has a rich aroma with slightly bitter chocolate notes, and its taste is marked by low acidity, with hints of roasted hazelnuts and caramelized orange. The aftertaste is pleasant, reminiscent of licorice and hot chocolate.

8. KAFUNE Riserva: A premium Arabica and Robusta whole-bean blend designed for professional espresso machines. Prepared by an experienced barista, it offers an impetuous coffee with pronounced body, delicate floral aromas, and a compact, velvety crema. The aftertaste is persistent, with intense fruity tones.

9. KAFUNE Light: A premium Arabica and Robusta whole-bean blend, unique on the Romanian market. It offers the classic taste and aroma of espresso coffee, but with up to 50% less caffeine. Recommended for consumption in the second part of the day.

10. KAFUNE Decaf: A premium 100% Arabica ground decaffeinated blend. It offers the satisfaction of a normal espresso, without caffeine. It is available exclusively in monodose format for KAFUNE-compatible espresso machines.

11. KAFUNE Tre Mondi: A premium 100% Arabica whole-bean blend from three different coffee-growing regions of the world—East Africa, Oceania, and South America. It offers a refined espresso experience with a delicate yet deep taste, floral notes, and a slightly vanilla aftertaste. • KAFUNE provides a wide range of customized services for legal entities, including regular coffee delivery, espresso machine loan (custody), maintenance, and technical support.

• HoReCa services: Designed for hotels, restaurants, cafés, bars, catering companies, event organizers, etc. They include coffee delivery, professional espresso machine loan, installation, periodic maintenance, and technical support.
