Why We Love Romania – and, more importantly, how

As December 1 approaches, our National Day provides us all with a moment for reflection—both personal and collective—on love for our country, gratitude, understanding, reconciliation, and connection.

For us—as a team, an organization, and a Romanian brand—December 1 is also an opportunity to think about what it means to embrace Romanian identity and how being Romanian shapes who we are and what we do.

Founded in Bucharest 25 years ago, we have grown from a provider of watercooler services for office spaces into a market leader in our field. Today, we have the capacity to treat contaminated water and restore it to its best state, offering people water as it should be. Between those beginnings and where we stand now lie countless efforts, challenges, successes, careers, an immense amount of work, and extraordinary talent—all of which have made La Fântâna what it is today.

We bring these things up because, as we reflect on them near the National Day, we realize that most of what we do, we do because we are Romanian and because we love Romania and its people.

Our services have improved the quality of life for countless Romanians, providing them with better water in their daily lives. We've supported thousands of companies in becoming more productive by ensuring their employees always have access to good water. Through taxes, partnerships, and community engagement, we've contributed to the Romanian economy. Furthermore, the very essence of La Fântâna’s business model is rooted in helping Romania become cleaner, more aware of the importance of water, and more responsible with its water resources.

For 25 years, as an organization, we’ve contributed to Romania’s development, actively shaping a better, more sustainable, and more optimistic future for the next generations. We love Romania not only through who we are but, more importantly, through what we do.

This year, we’re doing something special: celebrating National Day with a limited-edition design on the 10-liter spring water box from Tălmaciu. Created by our collaborator, artist Vali Ciobanu, the illustration depicts a young, beautiful, hardworking Romania with a bright future ahead.

We love Romania every day, through our actions and our commitment—and once a year, we have the chance to say it out loud and be proud of it.
