SYSTEM CUSTOM PRO is a complex, custom-built water treatment station with automated processes, designed for one of our clients. It consists of: a mechanical filter, an equipment module for removing iron, manganese, ammonium, and hardness, a chlorination system with stainless-steel tanks, an activated carbon filter, a reverse osmosis unit, and an automation control panel.
Mechanical Filtration
The first treatment stage applied to the water source is mechanical filtration. This is performed using a zeolite-based filter designed to remove suspended solids and reduce turbidity. The unit features an automatic backwash cycle, which can be programmed according to the volume of water passing through it and the quality of the raw water.
Mixed-Bed Water Softener – removes iron, manganese, ammonium, and hardness
To address excess manganese and ammonium, a mixed-bed resin system is used. This unit not only removes calcium and magnesium salts responsible for scaling, but also eliminates manganese and ammonium. It operates similarly to a standard softener and uses salt tablets as consumables, which regenerate the mixed resin once its retention capacity is depleted. The unit includes a salt tank with sufficient capacity for multiple regeneration cycles. At this stage, manual intervention is required to refill the salt tank whenever the minimum level is reached.
Chlorination System
The next step in the treatment process is disinfection. This is achieved using the chlorination system, which enables precise, controlled dosing of the chlorine solution based on the quality of the water being treated. The system performs double chlorination due to significant microbiological contamination. After the first chlorine injection, the chlorinated water is stored in a high-capacity stainless-steel tank, sized to ensure the required contact time between chlorine and water for effective disinfection.
Activated Carbon Filtration
After disinfection, the water passes through an activated carbon filter, which removes secondary chlorine by-products that may form during chlorination. The unit used here features automatic backwashing, programmable according to the quality of the water.
Secondary Chlorination
Before being stored in the final tank, the water undergoes a second, low-level chlorination stage. This ensures microbiological protection from the final storage tank to the consumption points on site.
Pump
Water is delivered to the internal consumption points using a pump.
Reverse Osmosis
To provide high-quality water for drinking, cooking, and washing produce, the system is equipped with a reverse osmosis unit fitted with a remineralization filter.
Automation System
The station also includes a control system that starts or stops the water supply to the installation based on the water level in the tanks.
